Dewa United Academy Opens to Cultivate New Generation of Indonesian Basketball Talent

Dewa United Group has officially inaugurated the Dewa United Academy in Tangerang, Banten, marking a significant commitment to nurturing young basketball talent in Indonesia. The opening ceremony took place on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

The state-of-the-art facility spans approximately 2,100 square meters and features a 3.5-story building. It boasts three international-standard basketball courts, equipped with six rings specifically for academy players. Beyond the courts, the academy offers comprehensive support facilities, including a gym, locker rooms, a physiotherapy area, a museum, a store, and a cafe.

Lexyndo Hakim, CEO of Dewa United Group, emphasized that the academy is more than just a building; it is envisioned as a birthplace for the next generation of Indonesian basketball stars. He highlighted the abundance of untapped talent across Indonesia and the critical need for early identification, proper development, and sufficient competition to provide a clear pathway for aspiring players.

Hakim expressed his belief that a structured development system from a young age will profoundly impact the future of Indonesian basketball. He hopes the Dewa United Academy will become a leading center for cultivating top Indonesian players, focusing on long-term development rather than immediate achievements. The academy aims to prepare players for the next five, ten, and even fifteen years.
