Dh13-million G-Wagon with 3kg diamond dust dazzles at Abu Dhabi hunting exhibition

Abu Dhabi's International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (Adihex) is showcasing an array of traditional items, but one of the most striking displays is a Mercedes G-Wagon valued at Dh13 million, adorned with 3kg of diamond dust.

The "One of One Stallion," as the vehicle is named, is a unique creation by Polish luxury customizer Carlex. It draws inspiration from the Arabian horse, evident in its sculpted roof which alone required over 3,000 hours of work. The car's exterior finish incorporates seven layers of diamond dust and seven layers of hand-brushing, a patented technique by Carlex that gives the surface a tactile, almost hammered appearance that interacts with light.

Beyond the diamond dust, the Stallion boasts gold-plated details and a cabin upholstered in top-grade leather, with handcrafted elements continuing the equestrian theme. The entire production process for this one-of-a-kind vehicle takes about six months. Carlex CEO of Mena operations, Constantinos Zertalis, emphasized its exclusivity, stating, "It's just one in the world, never to be repeated."

Alongside the Stallion, Carlex is also presenting a Dh4.7 million safari-themed G-Wagon. This second vehicle features an Italian leather and crocodile skin interior, designed for extended desert journeys. While less flamboyant than the Stallion, it is one of only 25 planned for production worldwide and marks its Middle East debut in Abu Dhabi.
