Diesel and Gasoline Prices Rise in Lithuania

Motorists in Lithuania are facing higher fuel costs as prices for diesel and gasoline saw an increase starting Friday. The average price for diesel climbed to 1.895 Eur/l, a 1.3% rise compared to the previous Friday. Gasoline prices also edged up by 0.4%, reaching an average of 1.732 Eur/l.

Data collected daily by fuel companies and published by the Lithuanian Energy Agency (LEA) indicates the fluctuations. On Monday morning, the lowest diesel price was recorded at 1.739 Eur/l at a "Borusta" station in Prienai district, while the highest reached 2.090 Eur/l at "Boost Petrol" stations. For gasoline, the lowest price was 1.609 Eur/l at "Emsi" stations, with the highest at a "Circle K" station in Varėna at 1.879 Eur/l.

In contrast, the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) experienced a minor decrease of 0.1%, settling at an average of 0.757 Eur/l. Wholesale prices for gasoline on July 17 were 1.65 Eur/l, and for diesel, it was 1.86 Eur/l.

Market prices for Brent crude oil also showed an upward trend, with the price at 88.10 USD/bbl on July 17, up from 84.23 USD/bbl the previous day. Fuel companies are responsible for reporting their prices, and more detailed information is available on the LEA website.
