Nevertheless, Dinamo's ability to rout them so convincingly in a European fixture is noteworthy. This season, in 64 Champions League qualifying matches played so far, only Dinamo, Northern Ireland's Larne (who lost 5-0 to Crvena Zvezda), and Albania's Egnatia (who beat Petrocub 6-1) have managed victories with a difference of five or more goals. Crucially, both Larne's and Egnatia's victories occurred in earlier qualifying rounds against seemingly weaker opposition.

Dinamo's resounding win in the third qualifying round stands out, as other teams in this stage either drew or won by a single goal. This performance reinforces Dinamo's reputation in European qualifiers, a status that UEFA once likened to being the 'Real Madrid of European qualifications.'
