Dino Merlin's three-night Sarajevo spectacle draws over 200,000, hailed as historic

Bosnia and Herzegovina witnessed what is being hailed as its largest musical event ever, as superstar Dino Merlin captivated over 200,000 fans across three sold-out nights at Sarajevo's Koševo Stadium. The concerts, held over a weekend, marked Merlin's triumphant return to his hometown stadium after an 11-year absence, drawing an unprecedented crowd.

The spectacle transcended a typical concert, transforming the stadium into a venue of shared emotions and lasting memories. "Merlinomania" swept the region and Europe, with hotels in Sarajevo reportedly booked months in advance and flights to the capital experiencing record passenger numbers, according to the Sarajevo airport.

Attendees experienced elaborate productions featuring world-class visual effects, spectacular fireworks, and meticulously designed stage elements. A particularly emotional moment occurred during the premiere performance of his new single, "Zbog tebe," released just 15 days prior, which the audience embraced as if it were a long-standing hit.

Special guests, including Ivana Banfić, Senidah, Marko Louis, and Mahir Beathouse, joined Merlin on stage for duet performances, blending various musical styles and generations. A highlight was a drone show that illuminated the Sarajevo sky with the image of Halid Bešlić, evoking strong emotions among the audience and becoming a symbolic moment of the three-night event.
