Discussing Character Building, GP Parmusi Prepares Action-Based Collaboration with Kemenpora

The Indonesian Muslim Brotherhood Youth Movement (GP Parmusi) met with the acting Deputy for Youth Services at the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), Hendro Wicaksono, to strengthen collaboration between youth organizations and the government.

The meeting served as a platform to discuss potential collaborative projects aimed at developing the capacity of Indonesia's young generation. Key discussion points included strengthening youth character based on three core values: resilience (Gigih), patriotism (Patriotik), and empathy (Emphaty), as outlined by Hendro.

Today, the Minister of Youth and Sports focuses on action-based character building that includes resilience, patriotism, and empathy.

Hendro expressed appreciation for GP Parmusi's initiative in fostering communication with Kemenpora. He highlighted the crucial role of youth organizations as strategic partners in cultivating a competitive, innovative, and character-driven youth demographic capable of making tangible contributions to national development. He specifically noted GP Parmusi's track record of action-based initiatives, such as their environmental care programs for students.

Responding to this, the Chairman of GP Parmusi, Kifah Gibraltar Bey Fananie, affirmed the organization's commitment to contributing to a productive and inclusive youth ecosystem grounded in Islamic values, nationalism, and community service. GP Parmusi views the collaboration with Kemenpora as a strategic step to expand the impact of youth empowerment programs across various regions. Kifah stated, "Character building based on action, the idea of Minister Erick Thohir, is good. We are ready to be collaborators in building character. Moreover, many of our cadres are students."

Through this meeting, GP Parmusi hopes to translate the established communication into concrete cooperation via impactful youth programs. The synergy between the government and youth organizations is expected to bolster the active participation of young people as agents of change, development, and future leaders of Indonesia.
