Disney to Host First D23 Asia Fan Event in Singapore in June 2027

Singapore will become the epicenter of Disney fandom in Asia when it hosts the inaugural "D23 Asia: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event" in June 2027. This marks a significant expansion for Disney's flagship fan gathering, bringing it to the Asia Pacific region for the first time.

The three-day event, scheduled from June 25 to 27, 2027, will take place at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands. It is designed to unite Disney enthusiasts, Hollywood talent, and creators from across the region and beyond. Attendees can anticipate exclusive previews, special announcements, and immersive experiences that celebrate the magic of Disney.

Disney executives emphasized that hosting D23 in Singapore reflects the immense passion of fans in the Asia Pacific. Asad Ayaz, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer at The Walt Disney Company, stated that the event aims to foster a sense of community among fans, allowing them to connect with the stories, characters, and experiences they love, while also offering a glimpse into Disney's future offerings.

Carol Choi, Executive Vice President of Integrated Marketing & APAC Original Strategy, added that the choice of Southeast Asia is a natural progression for Disney's regional engagement. D23 Asia will provide a unique platform for fans to engage with content specifically curated for the region, including exclusive previews of APAC Originals for Disney+ and direct interaction with the creative minds behind these productions. This event builds upon the global success of D23, which originated in Anaheim in 2009 and has since expanded to include editions in Latin America.
