DJ Arrested in Medan for Allegedly Distributing Drug-Laced Vapes

Authorities in Medan have arrested a 26-year-old woman, identified by the initials AAFL and known professionally as DJ Miss D, on suspicion of distributing narcotic-laced vapes. The arrest occurred Friday night at a boarding house in the Medan Helvetia district.

The suspect works as a DJ, including a famous DJ because she often performs at several nightlife venues such as CDI, The Red, Lions, and Galaxy.

According to AKBP Rafli Yusuf Nugraha, head of the Medan City Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, the operation stemmed from public information regarding the alleged distribution of these drug vapes by Miss D. Following an investigation, officers apprehended the suspect, who is reportedly a well-known DJ performing at various nightlife venues in Medan.

During the arrest, Miss D was allegedly attempting to sell 'Batman' brand narcotic vapes for Rp2.1 million each. She reportedly obtained them from a supplier, identified as 'AL,' for Rp1.85 million, making a profit of approximately Rp250,000 per transaction. Police are actively pursuing 'AL,' who is now a wanted individual.

From every transaction, the suspect gets a profit of around Rp250 thousand. AL is still being pursued and has been included in our wanted list.

Initial investigations suggest Miss D claims this is her first involvement in distributing narcotic vapes, though she admitted to consuming them for the past seven months. Investigators are working to uncover a wider network and determine if others are involved in distributing these vapes within Medan. Police are also tracing the distribution channels and potential accomplices.
