Do not speculate on missing person case in Sungai Ara - police

Police in Penang are appealing to the public to refrain from making speculations or spreading unverified information regarding the disappearance of a 26-year-old man in Sungai Ara. The man, identified as Mohamad Hijazi Zamri, has been missing since Saturday.

District Police Chief ACP Anuwal Ab. Wahab stated that investigations and search efforts for Mohamad Hijazi are ongoing. Police are closely monitoring all information being disseminated about the case. He advised the public against creating rumors that could cause public unease or interfere with the police investigation.

Mohamad Hijazi, who works as a religious teacher for Kelas Agama dan Fardu Ain (KAFA), was last seen when he reportedly told his mother he was going to the nearby Surau Al-Muttaqin on his motorcycle. Authorities are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact the police immediately at 04-8662222 or visit any nearest police station.

Police are actively pursuing leads and utilizing all available information to locate the missing individual. The appeal for public cooperation comes as the search enters its crucial stages, with authorities emphasizing the importance of accurate information.
