Dominican Republic and Venezuela to Gradually Normalize Diplomatic Ties

The Dominican Republic and Venezuela have initiated a process to gradually normalize their diplomatic and consular relations, according to a joint statement released on August 2, 2026. This decision follows sustained dialogue between the two governments.

A mutually agreed roadmap will guide the progressive restoration of official ties.
