Dominican Republic launches two new residential projects in Punta Bergantín tourism development

Punta Bergantín has unveiled two new residential projects, Villas Hacienda Serena and Apartamentos Velavento, expanding its real estate offerings within the tourism development on the country's north coast. The launch, held in Santiago de los Caballeros, highlights the city's importance as a market due to its business activity and investment capacity, as well as its proximity to Puerto Plata.

These new projects will integrate into Punta Bergantín's comprehensive development model, which includes hotel, residential, commercial, recreational, and entertainment components, alongside beach spaces. Dominican Minister of Tourism David Collado stated that these additions are part of a strategy to reposition Puerto Plata and enhance the north region's ability to attract tourism-related investments.

Leonardo Aguilera, executive president of Banreservas, noted that Punta Bergantín is moving from planning to concrete results, supported by private sector trust and participation. Andrés Marranzini Grullón, executive director of the Punta Bergantín Trust, emphasized the real estate component as integral to the project's planning and highlighted the goal of linking Santiago with Puerto Plata. The developers aim to combine investment and residential use within a larger-scale tourism development.
