Dominicans decry lack of cleaning at Ramón Matías Mella hospital

One family member, Ana González, expressed her distress, stating, "We ourselves have had to clean." She highlighted that the issue extends beyond a single room, with dirtiness reportedly visible in various patient areas. Despite these complaints, hospital authorities have not yet provided an explanation or a solution.

Residents of Dajabón share these concerns, finding it troubling that a new hospital, intended to enhance healthcare services for the province, is experiencing deficiencies in essential services like cleaning. The families are urging the National Health Service and the hospital's administration to increase cleaning staff and ensure dignified and safe conditions for patients. As of the time of reporting, the hospital administration had not publicly responded to the allegations.
