Donald Trump threatens Iran: 'One power plant for one ship'

Former President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, threatening to target the country's bridges and power plants, even those located in or near the capital Tehran. This threat comes in response to any potential attack on a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, regardless of the weapon used by Iran.

This escalation follows a pattern of reciprocal strikes on critical infrastructure. In recent days, the United States has attacked Iran's energy facilities, while Iran has retaliated by targeting infrastructure such as water desalination plants and power stations in Kuwait.

The current tensions stem from differing interpretations of a recent agreement concerning the Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway for Middle Eastern oil exports. While the US views the agreement as a commitment from Iran to ensure safe passage through the strait, Iran interprets it as an assertion of its sovereignty and right to manage traffic within the strait.
