Dou Nan's 'Water World' opens Aug. 8 with free water guns, popsicles, and Beyblade battles

Dou Nan Township is set to transform its athletic field into a "Water Young Dou Nan Happy Water World" on August 8th and 9th, coinciding with Father's Day weekend. The event invites families to cool off with water activities, enjoy free popsicles, and participate in a "Battle Beyblade" competition.

Daily giveaways will include 500 large water guns and 1,000 popsicles, ensuring a fun-filled experience for all ages. The transformed athletic field will feature various large inflatable attractions, including water slides and bubble pools, encouraging attendees to engage in water battles.

Beyond the water attractions, the event will host a "Battle Beyblade" tournament, drawing skilled players from across the region. Complementing the excitement will be parent-child interactive programs, team-building sing-alongs, and challenging obstacle courses designed to test physical and cognitive skills.

Local agricultural products, summer treats, and green cultural and creative brands will also be featured, allowing visitors to sample local delicacies and purchase quality regional produce. Township Mayor Shen Hui-hsun encouraged everyone to join the festivities, promising a unique and memorable Father's Day celebration.

Looking ahead, Dou Nan Township plans to host a "Fire Spark" barbecue event in mid-September for the Mid-Autumn Festival, featuring a thousand-person barbecue, live performances, and fireworks.
