The renewed attention was triggered by a deleted social media post from Lin's current wife, Hsu Li-ling, who had commented on online rumors involving celebrity couple Nicholas Tse and Faye Wong. This incident unexpectedly brought Lin's past relationship with Shen Shih-hua to the forefront. Lin Bor-shih, who had two daughters from his previous marriage, reportedly had an affair with Shen Shih-hua during his marriage.
