Dramatic BMW flight ends in ditch after colliding with car at intersection

Dashcam footage captured a dramatic collision in Lithuania's Klaipėda district, where a speeding BMW veered out of control and struck a Volkswagen Passat. The Passat had been waiting at a STOP sign, attempting to merge into traffic.

The impact sent the Passat slightly sideways, while the BMW, its airbags deployed, mounted a sidewalk, crashed into a ditch, and collided with a nearby house's fence. The driver of the BMW was able to exit the vehicle on her own.

According to "Reidas TV," which shared the footage, the BMW driver was sober and appeared bewildered by the incident. She reportedly explained that she lost control of her vehicle after hitting an unseen bump in the road. Emergency services had to rescue the driver of the Volkswagen Passat.

Visible in the footage is ongoing road repair work on the street from which the BMW emerged, suggesting a potential contributing factor to the driver's loss of control.

The driver claimed she didn't know why she lost control. Crying, she explained that after driving over some bump in the road, she could no longer control the car.
