Police union leaders to meet PM over social guarantees and wages

Leaders from Lithuania's police professional unions are set to meet with Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius to address critical issues affecting law enforcement officers. The National Union of Police Professionals' Association (NPPSS) board will convene with the prime minister to discuss the current situation within statutory services and the working conditions of police officers.

During the meeting, the professional unions intend to raise several key points. These include the need for competitive police wages, the strengthening of social guarantees for officers, and ensuring greater involvement of police representatives in the decision-making processes that affect their work. The NPPSS emphasized that internal security is integral to national security and resilience, expecting concrete solutions from the government.
