After an eleven-month hiatus, Norwegian track and field star Jakob Ingebrigtsen made a triumphant return to competition, clinching gold in the 5000 meters at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham. Despite the win, questions linger about his form. Ingebrigtsen himself acknowledged the limited training he'd undergone. Earlier, a prominent U.S. athletics expert had voiced concerns that his injury problems might have diminished his peak performance, suggesting that his best might already be behind him.
