Drunk driver falls asleep at wheel in Gangnam, arrested by police

A driver was arrested in Seoul's bustling Gangnam district for allegedly operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, culminating in the driver falling asleep at the wheel during peak evening traffic.

The incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. on the 11th, when the driver, identified only as Mr. A, stopped in the middle of a road in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu. Alerted by witnesses, police arrived at the scene to find the vehicle stationary with the driver asleep inside. To apprehend Mr. A, officers surrounded the car with patrol vehicles. During this maneuver, the driver's car made minor contact with a police car.

Authorities have taken Mr. A into custody on charges related to drunk driving, as stipulated by the Road Traffic Act. The Gangnam Police Station is currently conducting an investigation to determine the full details and circumstances surrounding the incident.
