Dry Landslide Damages Gharkhola Hydropower Project; One Missing

A dry landslide struck Pokharebagar in Myagdi, Nepal, on Thursday morning, causing significant damage to the Gharkhola Hydropower Project's powerhouse and leaving one worker missing. The landslide also injured another individual at the site. The affected area is located in Annapurna Rural Municipality-6. The dry landslide, characterized by a rapid flow of loose soil and debris without significant water content, swept through the region, impacting the critical infrastructure of the hydropower project. Rescue and search operations are underway for the missing worker, Dipak Baruwal, 55, who was at the powerhouse when the landslide occurred.
