DSI Case Trial: OJK Witness Reveals Oversight and Three Linked Accounts

The trial for alleged fraud and embezzlement at PT Dana Syariah Indonesia (DSI) commenced in Depok, West Java, with a key witness from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) providing testimony. The OJK representative detailed the oversight process for DSI, including direct inspections of the company and the existence of three "vehicle" accounts reportedly connected to DSI's President Director, Taufiq Aljufri. Three OJK witnesses appeared in court to present their findings. During the proceedings, one witness, Nurul Fathiyah, specifically mentioned the three vehicle accounts linked to Aljufri while explaining the account structures during the DSI oversight. The defense for former Director Mery Yuniarni, represented by Abdul Bari Alkatiri, noted that the OJK witnesses did not meet with Yuniarni during their oversight activities. Alkatiri emphasized that the testimony should be viewed based on each individual's position and authority, stating that nothing presented so far has linked Yuniarni to the oversight process itself. The prosecution previously accused Yuniarni, Aljufri, and Commissioner Ari Rizal Lesmana of collecting public funds through alleged fictitious projects and an internal lender scheme.
