Ebonyi LG Polls: Police restrict movement Saturday

Ahead of Saturday's local government elections, the Ebonyi State Police Command has implemented a restriction on vehicular and human movement throughout the state. This measure is designed to ensure the smooth conduct of the elections and maintain security across all polling areas.

The restriction is set to take effect from 7 a.m. and will continue until 4 p.m. on election day. It encompasses the entirety of Ebonyi State, covering all 13 Local Government Areas and their 171 wards. This broad restriction aims to prevent any disruptions or interference during the voting process.

Authorities have deployed personnel across the affected areas to enforce the movement ban. The police command stated that the restriction is a standard procedure for elections to guarantee a secure environment for voters and election officials.
