Ecatepec Launches 'Safe Bus Stop' Operation in Tulpetlac to Combat Public Transport Crime

In a decisive move to combat rising crime, the Ecatepec government has initiated the 'Paradero Seguro' operation, targeting the high-incidence areas of Tulpetlac. This strategic deployment focuses on public transportation stops, notorious hotspots for illicit activities, particularly in the upper regions of the municipality. The operation signifies a strong commitment from Mayor Azucena Cisneros and her administration to ensure the safety of citizens who rely on public transport for their daily commutes.

Since five in the morning, our police have been present on foot in the upper areas. It is a responsibility to the people and citizens who go out to work every day. In the Tulpetlac region, there are already three shifts, and there are all kinds of operations in areas where there are bus stops and people feel unsafe, we will be there.

The 'Paradero Seguro' initiative involves a robust, multi-agency approach, integrating forces from municipal police, state security, and federal entities, including the Secretariat of the Navy and the National Guard. This coordinated effort ensures a constant police presence, with patrols operating in three shifts and across ten distinct cells covering the affected neighborhoods. The goal is clear: to create a visible deterrent against crime and provide a sense of security for commuters.

The police presence of corporations from the three levels of government will be permanent, by region, according to the crime map, to inhibit the commission of crimes.

The operation consists of 10 cells distributed in neighborhoods from Tulpetlac to the upper areas, with the presence of uniformed officers who will be responsible for guaranteeing the safety of citizens while waiting for transportation to go to their jobs.
