Ecuador extradites Chilean wanted for homicide

Ecuador has extradited a Chilean national, identified as Alejandro R., who was wanted by Chilean authorities for homicide and subject to an Interpol red notice. The extradition was carried out following extensive investigative work and coordination with international law enforcement agencies.

Alejandro R. was sought in connection with a murder that occurred in Monte Patria, Chile, in 2018. He also had an outstanding prison sentence of 20 years to serve. The Ecuadorian police successfully executed the passive extradition, bringing the fugitive to justice.
