Ecuador to raise gasoline and diesel prices from June 12, 2026

Ecuadorian drivers face higher fuel costs starting June 12, 2026, as prices for Extra and Ecopaís gasoline and diesel are set to rise. Ivo Rosero, president of the National Chamber of Petroleum Derivatives Distributors of Ecuador (Camddepe), confirmed the adjustment.

Gasoline prices will reach $3.312 per gallon, while diesel will cost $3.251 per gallon. These figures reflect an increase from the previous month's prices. This monthly adjustment is mandated by a band system governing low-octane fuels in Ecuador, which bases prices on international market performance.

The gasolines Extra and Ecopaís will reach a price of 3.312 dollars per gallon. Meanwhile, diesel will be sold at 3.251 dollars per gallon, reflecting an increase compared to the values in effect during the last month.

The price hike occurs amid global oil market volatility, influenced by geopolitical events and shifts in fuel supply and demand. These international factors directly impact Ecuador's import costs. Rosero also noted that the suggested price for Super gasoline, set by Petroecuador, will be $5.70 per gallon, though individual service stations may set the final price.
