Ecuadorian military raids Quito nightclub, arrests suspected police officer linked to 'Los Lobos'

Ecuadorian military forces raided a nightclub in the La Delicia sector of northern Quito, uncovering alleged ties to the 'Los Lobos' criminal organization. The operation, which took place on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, revealed that the establishment was operating despite a subsisting closure order.

During the intervention, authorities confiscated a significant amount of cash, totaling nearly $14,000, along with $20,000 worth of contraband merchandise and 12 doses of controlled substances. A sophisticated monitoring system, comprising 20 surveillance cameras, was also discovered, believed to have been used to control access and movements within the venue.

Among those apprehended were Washington Ch., identified as a suspected police officer, and Carlos G., reportedly the administrator of the nightclub. In a further development, five other individuals, allegedly off-duty police officers, were found among the patrons. Additionally, a nearby property yielded communication radios, advertising materials, and police apparel, all of which have been incorporated into the ongoing investigation.
