Ecuadorian singer Mauricio Núñez has publicly resurfaced with an emotional tribute to his wife, Giomara Lozada, who died in a traffic accident on August 12, 2026. Núñez, the lead vocalist of the group Los Hermanos Núñez, shared his message on his official digital platforms after recovering from medical treatment and being discharged from the hospital.

The singer posted a dedication to his wife, identified as "my señora Giomarita," on his Facebook account. The post included two personal photographs of the couple, capturing their relationship from its early stages. "My whole life with you, my love... Only I know what I feel for your departure... but it comforts me to know that the love we shared will never die. Forever we will be my señora Giomarita," Núñez wrote.

In a video accompanying the written tribute, Núñez addressed his followers, confirming his recovery and return home. He expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of support from Ecuador and internationally. "I am very grateful for all the expressions of affection you have shown me, nationally and internationally. I want to thank all the institutions, all those who showed solidarity during this difficult time in our lives," he stated.
