Egypt to Distribute July 'Takaful and Karama' Welfare Payments on the 15th

Egypt's Ministry of Social Solidarity is preparing to disburse the "Takaful and Karama" (Solidarity and Dignity) social welfare payments for July 2026. The payments, scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 15, will reach an estimated 4.7 million families. This program, launched in March 2015, provides monthly cash assistance to vulnerable households, aiming to create a social safety net and improve living conditions.

The Takaful and Karama program targets families in need, including the elderly, children, and other eligible groups. Its objective is to ensure beneficiaries have access to essential needs like food, healthcare, and education, while also fostering long-term economic and social empowerment. The ministry has outlined specific conditions for receiving this support.

To qualify for the program, families must be deemed eligible, not possess a stable income or pension exceeding prescribed limits, and ensure their children attend school at least 80% of the time. Furthermore, adherence to health check-ups for children and participation in program awareness sessions are mandatory. Beneficiaries can collect their payments from designated locations, including Egyptian Post offices and branches of the National Bank of Egypt.
