Egypt: University Admissions Registration for 2026 Underway, Free Support Offered

Egyptian university students are currently registering for the first phase of the 2026 academic year admissions. The online portal remains open 24 hours a day, allowing students to modify their choices multiple times. The final submission will be the last version saved before the deadline.

University coordination centers are providing free technical assistance to students who need help with registration or modifications. These centers operate daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the first phase, offering guidance on geographical distribution rules.

The registration period for the first phase of university admissions for the 2026 academic year will continue until 7 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday, August 9, 2026, which is the final deadline set by the coordination office.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the minimum admission scores for the first phase. For the scientific division (sciences), the minimum score is 292 (91.25%). For the scientific division (mathematics), it is 275.5 (86.09%). The literary division requires a minimum of 229 (71.56%). A total of approximately 94,767 students are expected to register in this phase.

As of now, around 71,000 students have successfully registered their preferences. Officials urge students who have not yet registered to do so promptly before the August 9 deadline, emphasizing that the period will not be extended.
