Eid-el-Maulud: Natasha urges Muslims to promote peace, compassion

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has called on Muslims across Nigeria to embrace the spirit of Eid-el-Maulud by promoting peace, compassion, and unity. In a goodwill message issued in Abuja, the lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District extended felicitations to Muslims, particularly those in her constituency.

Akpoti-Uduaghan encouraged the faithful to use the celebration as a moment to reflect on the life, teachings, and exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). She stressed that the annual observance should transcend mere festivities, serving instead as an opportunity to recommit to values essential for building a stronger Nigeria amidst its current social and economic challenges. "As we celebrate Maulud, let us remember the less privileged among us. She also called for the rejection of religious intolerance, hatred, and divisive rhetoric, advocating for greater unity and understanding within Nigeria.
