Eight men charged in alleged plot to kill Trump, Musk, Netanyahu at White House UFC fight

Eight men in the United States face conspiracy to commit murder and terrorism charges, accused of planning a drone and shooting attack targeting high-profile figures including Donald Trump at a UFC event held on the White House lawn in June.

The indictment, filed before a federal grand jury in Ohio, details two separate conspiracies. The group is accused of providing material support to terrorists and planning to commit murder on US government territory. Donald Trump attended the White House UFC event on his 80th birthday without incident.

Court records indicate the alleged plot involved amassing money, firearms, ammunition, body armor, explosives, drones, and medical equipment starting in May. The group used online platforms like Signal, SimpleX, Discord, TikTok, and Instagram to establish a "tier" system for participants, with "tier one" members tasked with carrying out the attacks and potentially going into hiding. They allegedly agreed to kill any US government agency employee present at the event.

Prosecutors claim two of the accused, Bryan Roa and Michael Thomas, underwent marksmanship and combat training in California in May. The indictment also states the group planned to travel from various states, including Nebraska, Missouri, Washington D.C., Ohio, West Virginia, and California, to the White House and had an escape plan. The alleged plot included using explosive-laden drones and shooting attendees attempting to flee.
