Elderly Man Helping Daughter at Construction Site Crushed to Death by Pipes

A tragic accident claimed the life of a 70-year-old man who was helping his daughter at her construction materials business in Gimhae, South Gyeongsang Province. The man was fatally crushed by a bundle of steel pipes weighing approximately 300 kilograms.

The incident took place around 11:12 a.m. the previous day, as the man was engaged in loading the steel pipes onto a 1-ton truck. Authorities believe the heavy bundle unexpectedly fell, pinning him beneath its weight.

Paramedics transported the man to a nearby hospital in cardiac arrest, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The construction materials business is reportedly operated by the deceased's daughter, and the man was assisting her with the work at the time of the accident.
