Elderly Man With Dementia Found Safe After 3-Hour Search

A 70-year-old man suffering from dementia was safely returned to his family after a three-hour search by police in Seoul.

The incident began on July 10 when police received a report that the man had left his home without his mobile phone. Authorities immediately launched a search operation, focusing on the man's residence and areas he frequented.

Officers expanded their search radius, meticulously combing through nearby alleys and roads. Approximately three hours into the search, they located the man standing alone in an alley about 3 kilometers from his home. He appeared disoriented and exhausted from wandering for nearly half a day.

Police confirmed his health and safety before escorting him back home via a patrol car. The officer who found him contacted the anxious reporting party, assuring her, "We have found your husband." The reunion brought relief to the family who had been worried about his whereabouts.
