Emirates Environmental Group Launches Hospitality Sustainability Alliance

The Emirates Environmental Group has launched a new alliance aimed at bringing the UAE’s hospitality industry together around measurable environmental action.

The Emirates Hospitality Sustainability Alliance was launched at Coral Beach Resort Sharjah. It brings together hospitality leaders, sustainability professionals, industry stakeholders and partners to exchange expertise and best practices.

The alliance is intended to encourage innovation and coordinate responses to environmental priorities across the sector. Its creation reflects the group’s view that the scale and complexity of current environmental challenges require closer cooperation, knowledge-sharing and coordinated action.

EHSA will address several operational issues facing hospitality businesses, including energy and water consumption, waste and food waste, procurement, supply chains, resource efficiency and consumer behaviour. Dr Habiba Al Mar’ashi, the Emirates Environmental Group’s co-founder and chairperson, said the alliance would continue this work across the industry.
