Enefit Lithuania Announces Leadership Change Amidst Organizational Growth

Valdemaras Fiodorovič is departing from his role as the head of Enefit in Lithuania after a year and a half. He expressed pride in the company's achievements during his leadership, noting that Enefit successfully maintained and strengthened its position as the second-largest electricity supplier in Lithuania based on the volume of electricity supplied to the market. Fiodorovič also highlighted the company's ability to find unconventional solutions within a constantly changing regulatory environment to ensure client commitments and provide the best experience.

A year and a half in the leadership position has provided an opportunity to enjoy the results achieved both at the company and state level. We have managed to maintain and further strengthen our position as the second-largest electricity supplier in Lithuania based on the amount of electricity supplied to the market. Also, in a constantly changing regulatory environment, we have successfully sought unconventional solutions to ensure the fulfillment of obligations to clients and provide the best experience.

Gerrit Mäesalu, the head of Enefit OÜ, which operates across the Baltic states and Poland, explained that the leadership changes in Lithuania are driven by the organization's growth and ongoing structural adjustments. These changes reflect the evolving needs of the business. Mäesalu mentioned that as of the beginning of the year, all electricity-related sectors, including retail and wholesale trade, renewable energy production, and development, have been consolidated into a single organization. This integration aims to enhance competitiveness, improve collaboration across markets, and create greater value for customers.

In light of these structural changes and specific business objectives, the leadership structure is also being adapted. Mäesalu thanked Fiodorovič for his significant contributions to strengthening the company's position in Lithuania, acknowledging his professionalism and dedication. Fiodorovič has a history within the Eesti Energia group, previously holding positions such as head of energy products in Poland and leading the Risk Management Department and Market Research and Analytics Department.

From the beginning of this year, we have combined all areas related to electricity – retail and wholesale trade, renewable energy production, development – into one organization. This is a significant step in strengthening our competitiveness, improving cooperation in different markets, and creating even greater value for customers.

Effective August 10, Donatas Celešius, a board member of Enefit OÜ and currently the head of development for the Baltic states and Poland, will temporarily succeed Fiodorovič. Celešius's interim role will involve overseeing Enefit's operations in Lithuania as the company navigates its organizational and strategic realignments.
