Engin Polat's social media account also blocked after Dilan Polat

An access ban has been imposed on the Instagram account of Engin Polat, the husband of social media influencer Dilan Polat. This action follows an earlier ban on Dilan Polat's account.

The Ministry of Family and Social Services intervened after Engin Polat continued to share posts and commercial content on his own account, seemingly as a continuation of his wife's online activities. The ministry filed a request, which was reviewed by the Ankara 3rd Criminal Court of Peace.

The court ruled to block Engin Polat's Instagram account, citing reasons such as "protection of public order" and "prevention of crime." This decision was officially communicated to the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) to initiate the technical process for implementing the ban within Turkey.

The court's decision was made under Law No. 5651 on the Regulation of Internet Broadcasts, a legal framework used to control online content and activities deemed harmful to public order or conducive to criminal acts.
