This reaction stems from his expressed desire to leave the club at the end of the previous season.

However, not all fans shared this sentiment, as another portion of the crowd offered applause to the World Cup winner. The club has reportedly set a £120 million ($162 million) price tag for the player, though no offers matching this valuation have been received during the current transfer window.

Fernández, 25, was a notable figure in Argentina's recent World Cup campaign, scoring in the semi-final against England before being sent off in the final against Spain. The friendly also marked the home debut for Chelsea's new signing Morgan Rogers, who scored the opening goal.
