Erdoğan and Bahçeli Visit Historic Cemetery Amid 'Inner Front' Push

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, accompanied by key political allies, visited the historic Seljuk Meydan Cemetery in Ahlat, Bitlis. The visit coincided with events marking the 955th anniversary of the Battle of Manzikert, a pivotal moment in Turkish history.

During his address at the Malazgirt program in Ahlat, Erdoğan highlighted the concept of an "inner front" as crucial for the new solution process, which officially began with the enactment of a framework law. He conveyed messages of peace for both Turkey and the wider region, stating that the "Terror-Free Turkey" process, initiated two years prior from Ahlat, would usher in a new era of prosperity and strengthen national resilience.

Erdoğan strongly denounced perceived attempts to obstruct this process and sow discord. He declared, "No matter what you do, you cannot turn us from our path. You cannot prevent our embrace of brotherhood as Turks, Kurds, and Arabs. We know what kind of games you are playing. We know very well those dirty hands reaching into our region. If everyone has a plan, we also have a plan." He concluded by expressing confidence that brotherhood, peace, and stability would ultimately prevail, heralding the rise of a "great and strong Turkey."
