Erdogan: Israeli Attacks on Lebanon, Syria Threaten Turkey

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan declared that Israeli attacks targeting Lebanon and Syria have escalated to a point where they threaten Turkey itself. Speaking in Ankara, Erdoğan asserted that Israel's actions are indicative of a broader destabilizing policy across the region, encompassing the Eastern Mediterranean.

Erdoğan has a history of sharply criticizing Israel and its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Relations between the two NATO member nations, once close, are now considered highly strained. Erdoğan has repeatedly condemned Israel's actions in Iran, Gaza, and Lebanon, even calling Israel a threat to "humanity."
