Escape route of Fredy Pratama's treasurer, Frans Antoni, revealed after Malaysia arrest

Indonesian police have apprehended Frans Antoni, identified as the treasurer for the international drug syndicate led by Fredy Pratama, in Malaysia. Brig. Gen. Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Crimes at the Indonesian National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri), revealed Antoni's escape route and his role within the organization.

Antoni, who was a wanted fugitive, reportedly fled to Thailand after other members of Pratama's network were captured. He moved between various locations in Thailand, including Phatthanakan, before settling in Narasiri for approximately two years. His illegal entry into Malaysia was facilitated by individuals working for Pratama, leading to his eventual capture in Kuala Lumpur by a Polri delegation.

Santoso described Antoni not as a mere accomplice but as the financial, field, and operational controller of the drug syndicate. Meanwhile, Fredy Pratama, also known as Miming or Cassanova, remains a fugitive, suspected of hiding overseas and frequently changing locations between Thailand and Cambodia. Pratama is believed to wield significant influence in Southeast Asia, particularly within the "golden triangle," a notorious hub for drug trafficking.

Since 2020, Indonesian authorities have seized approximately 10.2 tons of methamphetamine linked to Fredy Pratama's network. Investigations suggest that Pratama's organization is one of the largest drug suppliers in Indonesia, with a substantial portion of the drugs entering the country being affiliated with his network. Monthly shipments of methamphetamine and ecstasy into Indonesia reportedly range from 100 to 500 kg, with the syndicate using tea packaging to disguise the smuggled narcotics.
