Estonia begins privatization process for postal company Omniva

Estonia's government has officially initiated the process of privatizing the national postal company, Omniva. The announcement was made in early April, signaling a significant shift in the state's ownership of the logistics firm.

Preparations for the sale are currently underway, with the Ministry of Regional Affairs and Agriculture leading the effort. The ministry has engaged a team of advisors, including Superia, Redgate Capital, and the law firm Ellex Raidla, to guide the complex process. These advisors are expected to facilitate the transition and ensure a transparent sale.

Following the current preparatory phase, an open auction will be announced to solicit bids from interested parties. However, officials have stated that it is too early to reveal any potential buyers or specific details about the interested companies. The focus remains on completing the pre-sale preparations before moving to the public bidding stage.
