Estonia sees sharp drop in electricity prices Thursday

Estonians can expect a sharp decrease in electricity prices on Thursday, offering a favorable day for consumption. The cost of electricity is projected to fall significantly across the country.

The most affordable time to use electricity will be in the afternoon, specifically between 3:30 PM and 3:45 PM, when the price is expected to hit a low of just 2.03 euros per megawatt-hour. Conversely, the most expensive electricity will be available later in the evening, from 10:00 PM to 10:15 PM, reaching up to 50 euros.

Compared to its Baltic neighbors, Estonia's electricity prices will be considerably lower on Thursday. The average price in Latvia and Lithuania is forecast to be 17.27 euros per megawatt-hour, while Finland will see an even lower average price of 8.01 euros.

This price drop marks a substantial change from Wednesday's average electricity price in Estonia, which stood at 45.72 euros per megawatt-hour. The significant reduction on Thursday offers consumers a welcome opportunity to manage their energy costs.
