Estonia Sets U20 Relay Record, Moser Ties for Fifth in Pole Vault

The fourth day of the U20 European Athletics Championships in the United States brought Estonia a place in the finals and a record improvement. Allika Inkeri Moser cleared 4.25 meters in the pole vault final, tying for fifth place. The gold medal went to Czech Nicole Krutilová with 4.45m, silver to Ukrainian Olha Belšenko with 4.40m, and bronze to American Kylie Neira with 4.35m.

The Estonian girls' 4x100m relay team, consisting of Miia Ott, Mia Mireia Uusorg, Pia Lauren Matsalu, and Ellen Ingrid Aadamsoo, set a new U20 Estonian record of 45.64 seconds in the heats, ultimately placing 16th. The previous record of 45.71 was set in July. Tristan Konso finished 10th in the decathlon with a personal best of 7538 points. On the second day, Konso set season bests in the 110m hurdles (14.02 seconds) and discus (44.21 meters).

Andre Jürisson scored 7085 points for 22nd place, also setting personal bests in the 110m hurdles (14.46 seconds) and the 1500m (5:13.50). In the discus, he threw 42.02 meters, and in the pole vault, he cleared 3.60 meters. Sten-Erik Iir qualified for the discus final, meeting the 60.50m qualification norm with a throw of 61.03 meters on his first attempt. The final is scheduled for August 9.
