Ethics Committee Will Not Investigate Pinskuvienė's Mother's Apartment

Lithuania's Chief Disciplinary Committee has opted not to commence an investigation into the acquisition of an apartment in Palanga by the mother of Živilė Pinskuvienė, the mayor of Širvintos. The committee also declined to investigate public procurement matters in Širvintos, which were linked to the case.

In its decision, the committee stated that certain aspects of the reported issues fall outside its purview. Furthermore, the available information was deemed insufficient to warrant the initiation of a formal investigation. The committee had received a report requesting an inquiry into whether the obligation to avoid conflicts of interest had been violated.

According to the committee's findings, Mayor Živilė Pinskuvienė did not participate in the decisions related to the public procurement processes won by "Vilmsta" during the period of 2023–2026. This conclusion was based on the data reviewed by the committee.
