Europe threatens FIFA with World Cup boycott over private investment plan

European football's governing body, UEFA, has issued a strong ultimatum to FIFA, threatening a boycott of all future World Cups if FIFA proceeds with its plan to involve private investors in commercializing the tournament. UEFA vehemently rejected FIFA's proposal to create a commercial entity, FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE), which would manage its commercial activities and events. FIFA claims this would generate additional revenue to fund global football development and is part of a "democratic process."
