European Championship: The 14-player squad for the women's national volleyball team traveling to Brno

The Greek women's national volleyball team is heading to Brno, Czech Republic, to compete in the 2026 European Championship. The team is set to depart on Wednesday morning, traveling first to Vienna before continuing by road to Brno, the host city for Group B of the tournament.

Upon arrival, the Greek squad will have their first practice session at the "Brno Exhibition Centre," the venue for their group matches. Head coach Apostolos Oikonomou has finalized his 14-player roster for this significant European competition.

The selected players include setters Lamprini Konstantinidou (captain) and Evangelia Tani. The middle blockers are Irini Chatzistratiadou, Aristea Todai, Markella Papageorgiou, and Erika-Pelagia Grava. Outside hitters are Efrosyni Bakodimou, Elpida Tikmanidou, Georgia Loula Angelopoulou, and Maria Klepkou. Opposite hitters are Martha-Evdokia Anthouli and Styliani Giourda. The liberos are Maria-Katerina Xanthopoulou and Georgia-Maria Antonakaki.

Greece's schedule in Group B includes matches against the Czech Republic on August 21, Ukraine on August 22, Bulgaria on August 23, Austria on August 25, and Serbia on August 26. The team aims to advance from a competitive group that also features strong European contenders.
