Eustáquio Calls Prosecutor's Denunciation 'Stupid' and Plans to Sue Moraes at The Hague

Oswaldo Eustáquio, a Brazilian influencer and supporter of former President Jair Bolsonaro, has vehemently denounced the charges filed against him by the Prosecutor General's Office (PGR). Currently a fugitive in Spain, Eustáquio described the accusations as "stupid, pathetic, unconstitutional" in a statement released Wednesday.

Eustáquio, who faces charges of criminal organization after prosecutors allegedly failed to frame him for a coup attempt, declared his intention to file a complaint against Supreme Federal Court (STF) Minister Alexandre de Moraes at the International Criminal Court in The Hague. He directed insults at Moraes in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

The influencer argues that the ongoing investigations against him constitute "prior censorship" aimed at suppressing his journalistic activities, including a podcast he maintained during a protest encampment in Brasília. He criticized the use of public notices for his citation, deeming it a sign of incompetence by the superior court.

Eustáquio asserted that the Spanish National Court has unanimously ruled that the investigation against him, conducted by Brazil's Federal Police, falls under freedom of expression in Spain. He also claimed to have previously won a legal battle against Moraes in international courts and expressed confidence in prevailing again.

The citation by public notice reveals the incompetence of this superior court, which could have cited my appointed lawyers or cited me by the same phone number the Brazilian press uses to speak with me. I've had this number for 18 years.
