Ex-Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes Febrie Adriansyah Detained by KPK as Suspect

Febrie Adriansyah, the former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), has been detained by the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) following his examination as a witness in a money laundering case. The detention occurred on Friday, July 24, 2026, after Adriansyah underwent a full day of questioning at the Attorney General's Office.

Adriansyah has been named a suspect in a bribery and gratuity case linked to his handling of the corruption charges against PT ASABRI. The Attorney General's Office has transferred him to the detention cells of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for further custody.

Investigators reportedly discovered substantial evidence at Adriansyah's private residence in Sentul City, Bogor, West Java. This evidence includes hundreds of billions of Indonesian Rupiah in cash and approximately 74 kilograms of gold bars. These findings are part of the money laundering investigation.

This marks Adriansyah's second examination related to the money laundering charges. The investigation is based on a new investigative order issued by the Attorney General's Office on July 20, 2026. Previously, Adriansyah was also a suspect in cases involving corruption at PLTU Batubara and Krakatau Steel, though his status in those specific investigations remained as a witness at the time of reporting. The handling of the ASABRI corruption case investigation was transferred from the Indonesian National Police to the Attorney General's Office.
