Ex-Husband Withdraws Reconciliation Case with Singer Adira Suhaimi, Court Rejects Request

Entrepreneur Datuk Seri Adnan Abu Bakar, known as Datuk Red, has withdrawn his application to confirm reconciliation with his ex-wife, singer Adira Suhaimi. The 46-year-old explained that the decision was made to end the ongoing dispute between them. "If possible, I want to end this matter. I am tired because if the situation drags on, I will be blamed in the end. I don't want to prolong this issue anymore. That's why I decided to withdraw the case," he told reporters after proceedings at the Gombak Barat Syariah Court. Datuk Red expressed hope that all related matters would be resolved at the next hearing, scheduled for July 9. Adira, 35, stated her readiness to accept any court decision, noting that the proceedings are already in the intermediate stage. "I am ready to accept any court decision. Nothing has changed, and my life continues as usual. I can still work and manage the children as usual. Alhamdulillah, there are no problems," she said. However, the Gombak Barat Syariah Court rejected Adnan's request to withdraw the reconciliation confirmation case he filed against Adira. The court has set July 9 for the next proceedings to hear testimony from both parties. Previously, the reconciliation confirmation hearing on April 23 was postponed to the current date, followed by Adnan's withdrawal application. Adnan had filed the application on December 18 last year, claiming reconciliation occurred in May 2024, within the 'iddah' period after their divorce. Adira, however, reportedly did not confirm this claim.
