Isyana Sarasvati cherishes collaboration with late friend Vidi Aldiano; announces tour

Indonesian singer-songwriter Isyana Sarasvati expressed her deep gratitude for the late Vidi Aldiano's contribution to her latest album, 'Eklektiko.' Aldiano, who passed away on March 7 after a seven-year battle with kidney cancer, had collaborated with Sarasvati on the album, which she described as a very personal work reflecting various phases of her life.

"Vidi Aldiano is one of my best friends. I feel very grateful that the album 'Eklektiko,' which is very personal to me, also has the touch and feel of Vidi Aldiano," Sarasvati stated. She specifically mentioned the song 'Frenemy,' co-produced in 2024, as holding significant sentimental value, expressing her hope that the collaboration will endure.

Sarasvati also highlighted Aldiano's inspiring fighting spirit, noting his positive attitude and passion for life and music, which never wavered despite his struggles. "Vidi always had a great spirit. He never showed his weakness or difficulty to others," she shared.

Looking ahead, Sarasvati announced her 'Isyana Sarasvati Live in Kuala Lumpur' concert, scheduled for July 17. This marks a special return to Malaysia, a destination she considers significant. The concert will feature songs from 'Eklektiko' as well as hits from her entire catalog, spanning her first five albums. Following Kuala Lumpur, she plans to tour four other Asian cities: Seoul, Tokyo, Manila, and Taipei.
